THE GENERAL METHOD FOR AMPUTATIONS

You will need to amputate a patient’s leg about five times more often than his arm. Once you have cut off a limb there is no going back, so try to retain as much function as you can.

In the arm save every centimetre. In the leg amputate at the classical sites only.

“The only important elements in any society are the artistic and the criminal, because they alone, by questioning the society’s values, can force it to change.”
